Deposit Photo appsumo deal again
« on: November 23, 2024, 08:53:48 AM »
It's that time of year again. You can get 100 photos for $44 via app sumo for Black Friday. Usually it's over  $200. Just letting you know in case interested-- I was informed by these writer groups in the past and have loved Deposit Photo for stock photos since.

These are such great deals. Shutterstock is like $15 a photo (I think). And often DepositPhotos has the exact same photo.

Holy moly... I found the Deposit Photos site, and for giggles, I used the reverse lookup feature. A lot of quality options came back.

Getting 100 for $50 --- what's another $50 after all I've spent on marketing this quarter?

Uh, I'd say that's better than Getty Images. $175/image.

On the front page of Deposit Photos, to the right of the search bar is "Search by Image."  I fed it my WIP, and it returned some interesting images.

Anyone who makes their own covers and/or ads with a visual component should take advantage of deals like that. Good photos can be expensive.

On individual photo prices, those typically depend on whether you're buying ala carte or have an image plan from the company. Most people probably wouldn't need a huge plan, but the biggest Shutterstock monthly plan brings cost per image down to something like $0.26. So if you're a graphic designer, there are options that will work for you. If not, it's still sometimes worth checking the pricing to see what options are available. Consider how many images you'll need during a given period of time vs. what you'll have to pay for them. You probably still won't get as good a deal as this Deposit Photo deal, but sometimes if you really love a particular image or group of images, it's worth checking to see what deals might be available.

I've got a bunch of images left, so I passed this time (and the Thanksgiving one). Getting the Deposit Photos deal was a very good thing. I recommend it to people all the time, because you get so much for so little, and the credits last forever.

Before I got this deal, I had a package with Can Stock, I got some kind of thing for I think ten bucks, for about 19 credits. Something like that. It was a long time ago. That plus some free stuff kept me going for years.
