They are in partnership with Bookbub, and they distribute for Findaway voices. I think this could be a gamechanger for indie audiobooks.

Sadly, I'm going exclusive with Audible for my first two books. That said, it's something to look out for the future.

Forget selling. I'm thinking as a listener here. $2.99? Wow! Must look into this further.

One wonders how long it will be before Bookbub is also selling ebooks. An advertiser becoming a vendor is certainly interesting.

One of the reasons I didn't sign up exclusively was the thought that new approaches and technologies might emerge during a seven-year period.

That said, is this going to be another one of these looks-great-but-impossible-to-get-selected-for Bookbub style things, or is it going to be a little more open? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I don't think they'll sell ebooks because many authors use BB to boost their ranking on retailers...

Chirp has the problem that won't boost visibility on regular retailers.

Unless the effectiveness of their featured ads is cut by 80%, I'd still take one if I could get it.

If Chirp has alsobots and bestseller lists, it's just another vendor. If I have a feature on Monday, and on Wednesday I'm getting sales because I'm in Tuesday's feature's alsobots... I'd take that.

But we won't know until we know. Their PPC ads are pretty lame, IMHO. This could be like that all over again. Or like the Nook advertisemageddon.

I signed up for the waitlist.  Thank you for posting this.  I need to start reading posts about audio and learning as much as possible.  It seems like a huge undertaking so I've been procrastinating.
There's nothing in the chirp info as to whether they will require exclusitivity or not.  I asked if they planned to distribute through other sites, like Kobo.

The app doesn't seem to be on the UK app store.
