If I maintain my current pace, I'll beat my August word count, so, yay!  Although writing three stories at the same time is not easy.  And the lame space opera is just dragging along.  I'm afraid to check the word count on the current chapter.

Also, some of you may remember some of the drawings I've posted previously in the thread.  I have a special project I'm going to do and need some feedback as to which drawing should be used.  I have a poll in the Deep Space Infinity forum here and would appreciate votes/feedback/etc.  Thanks!

Finally back to work writing and editing.  Also creating the cast of characters for my next series!
I haven't kept track of words, but it's definitely progress!  :dog1:

I do answer my landline still, but I've had a rule for one hello since I was in my twenties (a loooong time ago :) ). No one answers immediately or I hear any clicks or hesitation, I hang up. Real people assume you were cut off and call back. Spammers generally do not. I never talk to spam callers anymore. If I suspect spam, I hang up. I don't care if they're in the middle of talking or not. I am under no obligation to listen to a call I didn't initiate. :)

The truth is real people calling about important stuff know basic phone etiquette. A quick introduction with a full name and a reason for calling. Social small talk and "How are you today" introductions are for actual acquaintances. :)

I had two songs that I just had to listen to last night and they had nothing to do with one another. Even different decades.

Deep Purple by April and Nino Tempo

Shout by The Isley Brothers

Also, I've been experimenting a bit on what software I want to use for writing.  Though it shouldn't affect the writing, sometimes it does because it becomes a distraction.  Once I settle on something, hopefully that will remedy that.
I'm always interested in what software writers choose to use: why they decided on that and what alternatives they had considered. I'd enjoy reading anything you have to say about how that goes for you. I assume the experimenting is because of some deficiency in what you had been using previously.

I'll put something together and start a thread for it.
