Hi everyone
For those who do not know me, my name is Victoria.
I am an indie author who published under the name Victoria DeLuis. I also run the small indie cross-promotion site https://magicbookdeals.com/
I now also offer a range of services from editing to author assistant packages or one off support. Whatever your needs, I'm sure I can find a way to help, or at least point you in the right direction.
Low Cost Editing Service: ($4 per 1,000 words)
We provide a low cost alternative to a full developmental edit.
The low cost editing service attempts to help you ready your manuscript for proof-reading without the need for a full-scale developmental edit, which can cost at minimum $8 per 1,000 words. It includes basic developmental editing, some inline edits, comments throughout your manuscript, and feedback on areas of your plot, characters, setting and dialogue that may need further work. I will work to ensure every scene is doing the job it needs to do, and help you make sure your story works.
Author Assistant Service:
No minimum booking required. Rate $20 per hour if you book between one and 5 hours in one monthly block. Subsequent hours are charged at a rate of $12 per hour.
Example services provided:
• Preparing google forms for news-letter swaps and cross-promotions
• Organising newsletter swaps and submitting books to cross-promotions
• Social Media assistance: Reader group posts, author page posts, and admin tasks. These are all aimed at helping develop engagement on your page
• Verifying and issuing ARC review copies
• Chasing and verifying reviews
• Release week assistance
• Facebook group posting to help spread word of your release
• Snippet selection (I can read your book and provide you with snippets that may entice other reads to enjoy your work)
• Sending promotional material to book bloggers
• Assistance with giveaways and takeovers
• WordPress website assistance. I can update your site with new releases and schedule your posts
