I just posted some photos of fall foliage.

Goodness gracious, those are gorgeous photos! You certainly have an eye for photography. Autumn is so beautiful. As a lover of locomotives as well, I appreciated the picture of the train.  Grin

I posted on my blog today releasing two new things for readers: official artwork from my fantasy series, and the excerpt for the upcoming sixth and final book of the series. It was a pretty substantial update. I always love releasing art because it makes the site so beautiful and colorful (and it's just exciting seeing my characters come to life!).

Fantasy/sci-fi. Writer of bloody warfare & witty banter. Provoker of questions.

Glad you liked my photos, Rosie. The weather and foliage was really gorgeous this weekend.

The train was a regular regional commuter train, though the different types of waggons and locomotives are interesting. There is a vintage steam train operating in my area, which is very cool, when you catch it.

Congratulations Cora! It's neat how these came from writing prompts. I think I am unable to write any story without some food in it. lol.

Mark, a lot of people don't interact but they still read so if you enjoy it, why not? Sometimes I feel if I don't blog my head might explode so I do. Still enjoying it after 10 yrs.

I toss up a blog post every few days, but most of them aren't things I think anyone here would be particularly interested in.

My last post was just an embedded video from the YouTube channel "The Great War."  Never forget the horror show that was WWI.   :icon_cry:

My first foray into the world of audiobooks came to fruition this week with publication of the audio version of The Cleansing. An opportune time, then, to blog about the process that went into producing it.

My just released perpetual calendar (paperback) that was a loooong time coming.
Partly due to not fully trusting the new KDP print, sorry KDP, it was a lot easier & quicker than I thought it would be.
Partly due to it being 400 pages & 365 of those pages having an original (by me) quatrain.
(A mammoth task that took longer than I thought it would but I still reached by self-imposed deadline for completion).

Congratulations on "winning" Nanowrimo, dgcasey. I like the spreadsheet you use. I use to use Scrivener to keep on top of my daily wordcount but it's installed on my laptop where I rarely do my writing (it's usually on my phone or tablet).

Apart from blogging about the Cheap Quickies promo, I've also just put up Chapter 2 of my sweary scottish vampire story in a blog post.

Apologies - only now noticed this. In my opinion, the book was (as usual) a great deal better than both movie versions I've seen. Like I say in the blog post, the ending of the book is deliciously dark and I wish the film makers had been faithful to the book.

As for World War Z, I don't think they made a terrible attempt with the movie but, again, the book for me is far superior. As an aside, one of the more interesting parts of the movie is when the plane is coming in to try to land at Cardiff Airport. That's about twenty minutes up the road from my house and it's not often I see it mentioned in a major movie. In fact, I can't think of another one.

Thank you, Jeff, I certainly will. I'll encourage him to become a member here, but shan't hold my breath. He's seventy and au fait with technology - he has his own website and had no problem navigating through the kdp process - but has never attempted social media and has no desire to.

Sometimes, I envy him.
