I'm taking my books out of Kindle Unlimited, which was actually my last blog post.  This one has the last "free day" for my sweet Scottish romance.  Once I'm out of KU, free days will be more difficult to schedule...but I can have longer excerpts on BookFunnel and my website.  Here's the link!

Finishing a photo gallery for my Sgt. Dunn series on my website. A few years ago I created one on Pinterest for six books. It looks fine, but Pinterest is much harder to work with than my website. I put books 7 - 11 on my website and it was so much easier to manage.

That's kind of funny about the singer being nervous because "the lyricist" was there.  I can imagine how Mike must have felt when he heard her say that.

How publishers should navigate the Amazon terms of service (TOS):

First thing to understand about the Amazon TOS: There are actually several terms of services. Each program has its own terms, and sometimes the Amazon TOSes aren’t in sync.

For instance, Amazon Advertising lets you use competitor keywords. Amazon KDP doesn’t.

Or: Customer service for one Amazon group will even ask you to do something that would be a violation in another.

To give you an example, I ...

I keep forgetting to post to this thread, though I blog quite frequently.

Anyway, today I posted a free Steampunk story called "Tea and Treachery" as part of my First Monday Free Fiction experiment. So far (it's the third month I'm doing this) the experiment has been successful, because sales for the stories I post for free actually increased and last month I even had people buy the whole series to which the free story belongs.

Other recent posts include a rebuttal to someone proclaiming Steampunk dead and a post about the joy of writing, how to lose it and how to get it back.
