What's that white-barked tree in the background?

My donkey tail occasionally flowers, but never so many flowers at once as it has this time. Must have been just the right conditions.  :)

I've never heard of this thing before, so I googled it.  Here's the Wiki for anyone who's interested:

Native to Mexico, so I guess its imported to South Africa and sold from plant nurseries.  Is that correct, Jan?

We've got so many growing in our retirement village that I doubt if anyone here has actually bought one. The little beads fall off and grow very quickly when just left on the top of the soil.  You can also cut off the strands and poke them into the soil and they will grow. We planted a few strands in this 'fountain' and it's now covered in them. I've got three hanging baskets in my garden.  :)

A little malachite sunbird has made a nest in my cacti outside my bedroom window  :) I think she's now sitting on eggs as we rarely see her, but she flies out if we inadvertently get too close to the nest. We've had to abandon doing work on the fence until the birds have hatched and flown.

It's that time of year again. You can get 100 photos for $44 via app sumo for Black Friday. Usually it's over  $200. Just letting you know in case interested-- I was informed by these writer groups in the past and have loved Deposit Photo for stock photos since.

I was a fan of the old system, but I've grown accustomed to the new.

On the "sales trend" chart on the dashboard, look in the upper right corner.  You'll see a red link for "show map view."  Click on it and you'll see the map.
