Thanks for getting the info!
-
Thank you. Looks like it's staying up this quarter like other years.
-
Thank you - always grateful when someone else gets their calculator out. :icon_mrgreen:

Shoe, Glynn Stewart used to keep the kenpc payout stats over on KB. But he hasn't moved here at all. (Not surprising, given how much writing he does.)
Would you be interested in doing a running monthly thread, where the rate is updated in the OP each month? I'll sticky it so it's easily found.
If not Shoe, then would someone like to step up?

Figures for November, according to PhoenixFromTheAshes on KBoards:
US = .005206
UK = .003740
DE = .003149
CA = .004586
IN = .101256
AU = .004141
Highest rate for quite some time, I think. Grin
(Not sure about the etiquette of posting info from another site. Tell me off if I shouldn't do it!)
-
.de, .au and .ca still getting hosed, I see. Sigh.

I can understand au. Only been available for a short time, and probably very few people using it. No-one I mention it to here has every heard of it.

Ooh thank you. I thought the U.S. payment was better than usual! :banana:

There's no reason the .au rate should be so much lower, one would think. The .de rate has something to do with fees Germany charges, and Amazon is taking out of our cut. Not sure about Canada.
-
There's no reason the .au rate should be so much lower, one would think.
Very likely is reduced by the 10% GST.

Given the value of the Aussie dollar against the US, the .au rate works out to something like .0028 USD--a lot more than a 10% difference.
At least the Euro and GBP rates are offset somewhat by the currency value.

Did anyone do the rate for January?
-
$0.0048778433024431 according to KBoards (December rate)
-
Now .0044, or the lowest it's been since I started publishing.
-
Anybody worked out March and April?
-
March was 0.0045, by my calculations.
April's report isn't out yet but will be around the 15th this month.

Many thanks. :Tup2:

April's payout is 0.0047, by my calculations.

April's payout is 0.0047, by my calculations.
That's a move in the right direction - even if tiny :icon_rolleyes:
-
Anyone do May's payout?
-
May's payout won't be available until middle of June. I expect they'll publish the reports on Friday, June 14th since the 15th (usual day) falls on a Saturday.
-
Damn. I'm ahead of myself.
-
:icon_mrgreen:
-
By my calculations, May's payout is $0.0047 (same as April).

I use $0.0045 for my KENP revenue estimates, so higher is always welcome!
-
Barring anyone else coming up with a better figure, June seems to be 0.00465.
-
My calculation says 0.004642167.
-
July: .0044 (.004349 got me closest to the exact US payout figure). :icon_sad:
-
Thanks for doing the math.
I just wish those numbers were better.
Yikes.
Let's hope that payout gets better next month.
-
Thanks for doing the calculations. The rate stinks. :HB

Does anyone have a full list since KU2 began?
-
That's a big drop.
-
That's a big drop.
Yes. But for the last few months we've been talking in the Lagoon about banned authors suspected of being back in KU.
For me, this confirms it. As the scammers get back in, the page reads rise, and the rate drops.
We've seen this enough times now for it to be relatively obvious.
-
But the recent bannings were at the end of June.
This was July's rate.
So I'm not sure the assertion holds - presumably if a bunch of scammers were actually manipulating page reads, and got terminated, we'd have seen July's rate increase, or at least hold steady with the prior month - and not drop 5%.
Especially as all three banned authors were top 100 author rank authors. Seems like a very aberrant data point to me.
-
This was July's rate.
No, we just got June's rate, which is paid end of Aug.
So yes, it includes the recently banned authors KU reads.
The interesting thing will be if July's improves or not.

That's incorrect, Timothy. The rate is always released midway through the following month. We knew June's rate in mid-July. We'll know August's rate in mid-September.
As evidence I introduce the actual email copy sent by Amazon:
The KDP Select Global Fund for July is $25.6 million.
We will again award "KDP Select All-Stars" for July to the most-read authors and most-read titles in the U.S., U.K. and Germany. All bonuses will be awarded based on total Kindle Edition Normalized Pages read during the month. We will also award bonuses for illustrated kids’ books – the top 100 most read titles in the U.S. and top 25 in the U.K. will receive such bonuses.
So no, it doesn't include the recently banned authors' KU reads.
-
Correct. 0.0044 (rounded up) is for July.
-
I got confused with the payment cycle. I stand corrected.

I'm not sure Timothy is talking about the recent account terminations, but instead that there are several people who believe (through gathered information they have shared with others) some of the authors who lost their accounts over a year ago are back and up to some of their old tricks.

The new KENP rate appears to be $0.004387.

ˇAy, caramba!
-
September 2019: $0.004659784 (Exactly, and approximately)
-
That's more like it.
Thank you for calculating that.
While I'm happy for the increase, I wonder if it happened because a lot of authors are seeing low page read numbers than normal.
I certainly am.
-
Thanks for calculating.
-
Anyone know where we can find the figures for more recent months, please? I have no idea where to look - even if I could then work it out. :icon_redface:

Figure for this month isn't out yet. I think if you scroll back we were up to date.
-
Thanks, Tim, but the last one here is for September 2019.

New rate announced 16 May 2020 - KENP rate for April is $0.00422627
Saw it on Fb.
Big drop, which presumably reflects a huge number of new pages read due to lockdown.

Thank you - I thought there had been a drop, but nice to get that confirmed. Had a good month, too, for page reads!
-
Latest rate: 0.004547
Just saw it on FB.

From FB: July KENP rate is $0.00429
Dropped again. :icon_cry:
