I have reworked a Post-Apocalyptic Short Story — Death Hunts the Weak. The story is in the style of a light novel, 7,750 words segmented into 18 “chapters.” While I wait for the chapter art to be created, I thought additional reviews would be helpful. Here is a quick description:
The long death began three blocks from where my grandmother died. Life is no longer something to enjoy. Now, under the purple haze of night, we rummage for scraps. We survived, but we need to rebuild. Rebuild. Is it possible? We will do what is required to endure. Ending them is the only option if humans want to remain. Moira agrees with Tomás — all the good air is gone. Hope and Moira’s dreams are our guides. Life requires sacrifice and belief. I believe the blue sky of my childhood is trying to return. Death becomes the sacrifice when hope is in finding the end of days.
Also, for those who know my writing, there is only one voice for the entire story. Death Hunts the Weak is written in the difficult First Person Omniscient. The unnamed protagonist re/tells the entire story of how civilization was brought to its knees.
