I wrote 1,020 words today which puts me over 18k words for the month so far.  If I can maintain my current average for the rest of the month, I might hit 25k words this month.

The past three days have totaled 3,055 words.  As far as I know, my personal best is 6,752 words over three days which would have been an average of 2,233.33 words per day.  So, I'm still not back to that level.

Dan, that's wonderful!

Only 300 words written today, which hurts my daily average.  Daily average is probably going to be taking a hit over the holidays, so I'll have to try to make up for it on the other days.  Hoping to still hit 25k words for the month.

Happy Holidays!

Congrats, Lorri.

I started keeping track of my daily word count. Getting up to speed and regaining some of my previous pace. I wanted to start on a new story but those pre-order deadlines keep on haunting me.

Only wrote 500 words today and I failed to get my newsletter out.  Absolute deadline is December 31st now.  I believe it will still count as a holiday issue if I get it out before New Year's Eve because I think New Year's Eve technically counts as a holiday so it will still be a holiday 2018 issue.

If I count what I wrote in my other WIP, I already hit 25k this month.

As it stands right now, this month I've written 24,115 words in my fantasy adventure WIP and 2,387 words in my space opera WIP.

I wrote 675 words today.  That puts me at 26,140 words for the month.  I think I was trying for an average of 750 words a day this month and I finished with a daily average of 843.23 words.

The total for the last three months, from when Lorri started this thread, is 46,572 words which gives me a daily average of 506 words over those three months, which is ten times the thread goal.

Worst day over the last three months was 22 words and the best was 2,305 words.

When we started this thread, my WIP was sitting at 16,603 words and now it's at 63,175 words.

Thanks to Lorri again for starting this thread and giving us all some accountability as well as achievable goals.

I really have to thank you, Lorri. I am back to my old speed. Considering the draft will have a second pass, the word count is going to be higher. I was not able to include some notes in the storyline. The word count demand for epic fantasy is really high. And since it's mythology-based, research slows me down.

Jan 1 - 1,624
      2 - 1,485
      3 - 2,369
      4 - 1,186
      5 - 1,028

Total of 7,692. I hope this keeps up.

I wrote 455 words on Saturday and 1,510 words on Sunday.  If I write 2,250 words today, I can get back up to December's daily average.  LOL.  That's not likely to happen today.

On a side note . . .
No words written for me yet today, unless you count the 699 or so words written to wrap up my newsletter which is finally finished and out the door and has already been downloaded by three people.

I ended up with more than twice as many downloads for the 2018 issue than the 2017 issue.  No idea why; the list is pretty much the same people as I didn't gain a significant number of new subscribers in 2018.

I wrote 1,135 words today, which means if I write 1,919 words tomorrow, I'll bring this month up to December's daily average word count.  Finally got to write the scene I had come up with on April 8, 2012.  Yay!  Will have to write the aftermath tomorrow.

I had originally planned for this one to be about 45k words long and I'm currently at around 68k.  Well, the word count says 68k exactly, but that includes notes and stuff, so the actual length is maybe 66k or 67k.  Still, about 20k longer than planned.  And it's not done yet.  I imagine it'll be 80k-100k words by the time it's finished, which means possibly by the end of this month if I can maintain December's average daily word count.

The space opera, meanwhile, is going much slower.
