I've received it, and sent them along to 'phish@fb.com'

It's phishing and it has been around awhile: TrendMicro

Isn't ".is" the URL country code for Iceland?  Facebook's HQ is in California, isn't it?

Yes, but that doesn't matter.  URL shorteners often use country codes to help keep them short.  Bit.ly used to be a popular one and they used Libya's country code.  So, that in and of itself isn't necessarily a warning sign.

But, Facebook uses fb.me as their URL shortener so the fact it's not an fb.me URL is a red flag.

I don't know, but it sounds phishy to me.

If you believe this is a misunderstanding, we kindly ask you to submit a complaint so we can review it before removing the page from Facebook.

That wording seems suspect.  You have to submit a "complaint"?  That seems odd.  Seems like they would give you an appeal option or something along those lines.  But asking you to file a "complaint" strikes me as odd.

That would be a red flag for me since it is not immediately recognizable as a Facebook URL.

If you're concerned, I would find a way to contact Facebook without using that link to see if there is a problem.

Thanks.
A friend sent me a link to a post on Facebook, so I replied with the copied text to warn him that I might not be on Facebook much longer. It came up with some sort of ad for URL shorteners. So I think it must be some sort of scam.  :evil2:

I think I've been going about it "opposite". I've been enlarging the book by adding pages when the book might need to be shrunk. That's my new theory and it explains why it hasn't worked. But I've submitted it about 7 times now. :HB So I'm gonna try the opposite and cut pages.

I'll consider your idea too, Lynn. Thanks!

Can you download a template for your book size from Amazon, then open your cover image file, overlay it with the template with a lower opacity and see if anything stands out as not being within the safe zones? (Using a photo editing program that uses layers, like photoshop or gimp.) Then you can decide if you need to make adjustments to the cover itself. But it's a good way to see if there's a problem that needs corrected first.

Now there is a free piano scam.

I received one a while back and thought it odd.  I kind of thought it was a scam but, as I don't need a piano, I ignored it as it didn't matter either way.

Now I am getting more and more of these eMails, so it seems logical to conclude it's a scam because there can't be this many people with pianos to give away that are eMailing random strangers to see if they want them.

But what's the scam?

Well, they will ask you to pay for the moving company to move it except, reportedly, the moving company is fake so they'll take your money and you'll never get a piano.

I wonder what happens if you offer to pick it up?  grint  (Yeah, I know, you'll never hear from them again . . .)
