Hi all, long time no speak ...
I just ran a promo the other day, first time in a while, thought you might be interested in the results:
I reduced to 0.99 and got on the book barbarian newsletter. result: 11 sales on Amazon (worldwide) plus 1 on Kobo.
Well this was pretty disappointing for me, but hopefully it could be useful information.
the most recent time I ran a similar promo was about 3+ years ago and the results were not brilliant, but a lot better than this. Is it a sign of the times or was I just unlucky I wonder.

That's not bad for present day stats. Lately Book Barbarian yields typically 5-10 sales for a 99c fantasy/sci fi book. Yeah, the results were better 3 yrs ago.

That's been my experience as well. Not long ago, I had a promo with three newsletters that would have netted me about 220 sales collectively ten years ago. This time, they netted me 15. That approach is becoming progressively less cost effective.
