New blurb uploaded to KDP but not showing on Amazon

I've changed the sub-title and blurb on one of my books. The new sub-title is showing on all the Amazon sites except Amazon dot com.  :icon_rolleyes:

I've also uploaded a new blurb (had invisible characters, which took me hours to sort out  :confused:) The book is showing 'live' but the new blurb is not showing. I've tried it a couple of times and waited, but the old blurb is still there.
I have vague memories of having to change the blurb in another place, but it's years since I made changes and I can't remember how to do it.

Can anyone assist?

I believe updating in Author Central only changes the blurb/description on Amazon dot com.  :confused:

The only other place i can recall for changing blurbs etc. is Author Central, but it's also true that change is now restricted to the .com store.

It's not uncommon for a book to say it's live even though the corrections haven't appeared yet. It may settle later. If it doesn't, wait the period that Amazon now says it takes for changes to appear (it was five days the last time I checked), and then contact customer support. They should be able to fix it for you.

Nothing you put on Author Central ever seems to get to the sales page on Amazon.com correctly. Bill's advice to wait a couple of days and then contact KDP is better than messing with Author Central.

Another trick I've had to use lately is to use two spaces between sentences when I revise a blurb; otherwise, Amazon uses zero spaces between sentences. Do not ask why this is; it makes literally no sense at all.

Thanks. The new blurb is now showing, but the bookshelf says 'live updates in review'.  :icon_rolleyes:

Thanks. I remember there was always some sort of problem with changing things on author central. I'll keep away from it.

I see what you mean about the spacing. The new blurb is showing but there is no spacing between the paragraphs. I wish you could preview the blurb before publishing. Now I will have to go back and redo it with better spacing. :icon_rolleyes:

Tried to change the blurb again but while it says 'updates in review' it now won't let me do anything. When I click on the ellipsis ... it comes up with  'archive title'.  :confused: I think it's got fed up with me changing things.  :doh:

After watching a You Tube video that suggests it's a good idea to keep updating your blurb I had a look at one of my books. Blurb is formatted ok on the book page, but when I looked at it for editing there is no spacing. Decided if it's not broke don't fix it, so left it alone. Decided to add another category as we are now allowed to have three. Carefully selected the categories and clicked on to 'next'. It now says it's reviewing my files, which I haven't changed :icon_rolleyes:. Been in review for over an hour so cancelled it and saved as draft. The same thing happened with one of my children's books. Didn't change anything except the sub-title and it sits in reviewing files mode for hours. Gave up on it.  :HB
