Rejected. 48 hour turn around.
Me too. I think I've had two rejections since the thread started.  :tap
 :cheers Never surrender, Amanda.

Two? Piker  :icon_cool:
I'm waiting for rejection number twelve since this thread started. Had a few heart palpitations last week when it took them five days to reject.

You need a section break between the first few pages and the page that you want to be number 1. I refer to this page when I need a refresher on section breaks and headers / footers. http://www.addbalance.com/usersguide/sections2007.htm

Formatter's Forge [Public] / Page numbers in Word

Okay, this is what I need

Title Page
Blank Page
First page of text
Second page of text - start numbering here, with number 2

I'm trying to follow the help directions in word but I just can't seem to make it work.
I should be able to select a different first page and start the numbering at 2, but how do you tell it what first page you want?

Also is there anyway to get rid of the footer that I accidentally clicked on?

Thanks for the help.

I think the method Tim suggests is the best option. If you get a new document set up with the paragraph settings etc the way you want, then the text should sort itself out like magic when you paste it in from Notepad. I've done this kind of thing when incorporating text  I've written on my tablet  into my main document and it works really well.

I always respond to them if they send me a sample. It seems like a lot of work and I always feel flattered. Is that what you meant? I agree with Tweek, I'm not sure if you mean they sent you a sample cause they were looking at your book, or you were auditioning a bunch of narrators?

If you're auditioning them with a list of others for a project then ... I'm not sure. It's kinda like a rejection email then, which might appear more negative, anyway.

Do you mean unsolicited audition recordings of your book?

If so, I usually thank them simply because they've put some effort into their cold call. I also let them know that I'm not in the market for audio right now, but if I change my plans, then I'll get back to them.
