Does anyone else use their signature bookshelf in their emails?

I have used my bookshelf in my email signature, plus a link to my Amazon author page and my website. I've no idea if it has garnered me any sales, but at least it is out there for people to see.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this and had any feedback.

Since most of my email these days is for business purposes, I don't use a fancy signature. But this does suggest something I could try as the header in my Substack email (which is highly customizable.)

I use it on all emails, including business emails. It's normal size and clickable text and the bookshelf isn't that big, but it's recognisable so it's not intrusive. I have had people comment that they see I'm a writer (but very few).

I still do. Don't know if it has garnered any sales, but at least the names of the books I want to promote are there. And some people have mentioned checking out my website because I have it as well.

No. Pictures of my romance novels aren't likely to get me any respect in a business email, and I am too lazy to have one signature for one kind of email and another for another.

When I was still teaching, I couldn't hawk my books in my signature (even on my home email, because the school server was so unreliable that I gave students and parents my home email for when the school one was down). Now, I feel weird about doing it with anyone other than a known fan.

Some of my friends know that I write. If they want my books, they know where to find them. But I don't want to turn into the author who is constantly selling to people who may not be interested. I've heard about authors whose Christmas gifts to friends every year are his latest book. I don't want to be that guy.

To be clear, I'm not criticizing anyone who likes the idea, particularly not if it attracts interest to their books. I just don't feel good about it personally.
