Book report is currently bugged from a verified KDP problem

(1/2) > >>

TimothyEllis:
For those who use Book Report, the current version isn't working properly.

I just released a new book, and none of the pre-order income is showing up on Book Report at all.

As Liam is on his honeymoon at the moment apparently, I guess it's going to take a while before he notices it, let alone fixes it.

In the meantime, don't trust the figures for the last few days, and from now on until a fix goes in.

djmills:
I just googled Book Report and got the site.
It had a warning on the page so I guess Liam is aware of it.

"Warning: KDP is inconsistently reporting eBook sales royalties as of August 23rd. Since Book Report relies on KDP's data, this means that your sales data may be incomplete or inaccurate until their spreadsheets become reliable again.

We have contacted KDP support, and they said: "Our technical teams are aware of this problem and are working hard to fix it as soon as possible."

Now off to see what the program actually does. :-)

TimothyEllis:
That's strange.

Because the KDP data looks accurate to me.

TimothyEllis:
I verified there is a serious problem going on.

Data for the US and UK stores seem to be on the estimate graph, but when you download the spreadsheet, all the sales and pre-order data is missing for both stores.

KDP help chat took some convincing, and might be putting in a report. Have to wait and see what comes back.

But yes, there is definitely a problem.

And it's August, when all the truly great KDP problems seem to occur.

alhawke:
I'm kinda hoping they're not reporting sales. My sales are awful this week.
