50+ words a day...no matter what!
« on: October 02, 2018, 10:14:17 AM »
This is my new motto.  No more excuses!  No matter how busy I am, opening my WIP and typing 50 words is definitely possible.

Of course, once we're writing...there's no maximum amount.  50 words or 5,000+ is fine.  Just do it everyday!  No more excuses!!!  LOL :haironfire

Off to write.  Be back later. :mhk9U91:

Okay.  I just wrote fifty words for today, plus some extra words you maybe might consider a bonus.  So . . . what do I win?

I'm writing a Halloween-themed short story and I sailed through the first 6,000 words (over several days, I hasten to add) but the ending has me stuck. I've re-written those last 150 words at least four times. Does that count?

Thanks.  I'm working on two WIPs at the same time.  The space opera and this other one.  I work every day on the space opera but I'm using the other one as my 50 words or better a day project.

Okay, so I've decided it's time to start holding myself accountable, and I don't want to get ahead of myself with the lofty goals of the 500 words a day thread, so I'm in. 50+ words EVERYDAY. Shouldn't be too hard should it? (Says she about to fire up the netflix  :icon_rolleyes:)

I managed to get 1120 words done today (yay me!) and in an ideal world I'd write another 880 when I go to bed...but it ain't gonna happen  grint

Still have to figure out the how of the death scene because, evidently, impaling someone on a candlestick won't work.

Managed to get 1784 words done today despite a bit of a migraine. Also did some more plot refinements, and realised the small scene I wrote yesterday in an entirely different series is related to this current one, and looks like it might be a spin off that happens concurrently with this one. Excited about that  grint

Hoping to get some more written later, but posting now in case I don't. I think posting my word count publicly is helping me to not procrastinate so much,  hopefully I can keep it up!

Then I woke up this morning with the urge to rewrite a blurb. I'm counting that 116 words in today's writing total.
