That is so weird.

Hey, we're great, we've had a great marriage, we're great friends, but buh-bye.  :banana-riding-llama-smiley-em

Wonder which one will be remarried first.

Give her a shot at it.

Maybe she'll listen to us.

But you probably didn't have $137 billion to split up.  :icon_rolleyes:

Yes, it's not in either of their best interests to be publicly hostile to each other. Uncertainty about the future could cause stock prices to drop, and neither of them would want to diminish the value of their assets.

That said, I've known people who had amicable divorces and remained friends afterward. They were compatible enough to be friendly, just not compatible enough to be married. It happens.

What's in their best interests can go by the roadside pretty quickly when he's texting his mistress “Lauren, I’m in love with you. Deep.”  while he's still married to the wife.

Has anyone made an "always day one" type joke? As in, it stopped being day one in the Bezos marriage?

But srsly, divorce is a bummer.

That just makes me so glad I was married long before texting was invented.  Shudders

Maybe it's my past life reading a ton of historical fiction, but using the term "mistress" unless the man is paying her rent and the rest of her bills seems incorrect to me. "Girlfriend" works just fine, and so do "that home-wrecking hussy" and "lover." I haven't delved deeply into their story and don't intend to.
