I received a notice from Audible that the Daily Deal will no longer be available to non-members as of 10/1. The new deal is:
30 days of membership free, which includes 1 audiobook and 2 Audible Originals.
After trial, you'll get 3 titles each month: 1 audiobook and 2 Audible Originals of your choosing, plus access to members-only prices and deals.
No indication of a change to the monthly charge for membership.
I couldn't keep up with listening to one book a month when I was a member. I finally had to cancel my membership. The Daily Deal worked well for me. I just bought what I wanted for $2.95 or $3.95 and if I didn't get to it right away, no big deal. I still have a long list to listen to so I won't be hurting for audiobooks for quite some time.
Getting three books a month instead of one would be even worse for me. I guess I'll just get my audios from the library.
