If anyone can come up with better phrasing, please post it.
I'm a little unclear about the part in bold here:
Spam, trolling, hate, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are forbidden on this forum. As are links to non-eBook related sites. Any such post will be deleted on sight.
Does that only refer to links of the spam, ads, chain letters, etc. sort? Or does it refer to all non-ebook links, including innocuous stuff like Wikipedia? I'm assuming it's the former, not the latter, but I want to be sure. If it is indeed the former, then I suggest the following re-wording:
Spam, trolling, hate, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are forbidden on this forum, as are links to such sites. Any such post will be deleted on sight.
Another thing:
You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright, or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.
Any exception for Fair Use? It's kind of hard to have any craft discussions without providing examples from copyrighted material. My suggested re-wording:
You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright, or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material, or the usage of such material falls within the boundaries of Fair Use doctrine.
Those are the only things I noticed for now. I'll chime in again if something else occurs to me.
