Saturday I cant remember how many words I wrote but I know it was a couple of hundred
Sunday I wrote just under 500.

I can believe I wrote all those days in a row.

Hoping a ton of people start the new month of writing with us.

Saturday, 9/29 - 415
Sunday, 9/30 - 344

Was that the end of our first month, or are we going 10th to 10th? One way or the other, this was the first time I wrote something every day for almost three weeks in several years.

We're starting a new one today!!

Yes, the end of the month it was. New people can come on board today for the next month. Anyone who goes into the next month can continue to accumulate days!

I made it to the end of the month. Didn't update because the last I checked, the board was down, and I was kind of busy yesterday, but I still wrote just over 500 words. :)

I ended with just about 10,000 words for the days of the game and over 13,000 for the month! My best month in a while, so it has done its job for me.

It's really great to see that it helped other people write more often too.  :banana-riding-llama-smiley-em

I hope everyone continues to enjoy the game and use it, but I'm stepping back from all forums for a while. I have a lot of writing to catch up and I'm kind of needing a break from the distractions that come with busy forums.

Good luck!

Anyone wanting to collect prizes should let the person offering know. And if there are more winners wanting to claim them than prizes offered, I suggest you all get together and organize a draw or something. :D

Well done to everyone who made it through the month and good luck for this month.

I'm still up to my neck in the day job, so no writing for me for a few days. But I've got some serious writing binges planned for later in the month, and considering doing NaNoWriMo this year.

So I don't know if I'm out or still in for this month.  That would be pretty sad if I'm out already.  Y'all decide.

So I thought about my book and the words (specific words) that I was going to write.  But I didn't officially get them down till this morning.

What say you?

I don't think anyone is really regulating it at this point, I say join us. The more the merrier.

Yesterday was a busy day on other fronts. Will be putting up bigger numbers in the days ahead.

Trade show. Unless I write on paper, I'm out until the 8th or so.

I'll be checking on you when I get back  :police:

I've been having trouble logging in but my streak has continued (even if some days it has barely been a dozen words)

The forums are a bit more stable now and a ton faster.

Good job keeping it up. Sometimes those 10-20 words are harder for me than 1000.

Congrats to everyone who made it, and everyone who started right in again for October!

Anyone know who made it, and who's still in / wants to be in for the gift card? LOL

I had to drop out for the day job - got to keep those bills paid to feed my writing habit. Back to it now. About 1000 new words yesterday and today. Getting there.  :dog1:

Looks like the game has moved on somewhere else, which is totally fine.

But I just wanted to share - I've just finished my first draft of book 4!! It's taken a heck of a lot longer than I'd hoped, but I'm now at just shy of 77K words, and I normally add at least 10K in editing.  Plus there's some family drama to add in (to the book, that is).

And four books into this series, I'm discovering that I don't hate editing as much as I used to.  I'm looking forward to ironing out all the kinks.

This thread helped a lot to get me back on track and focused with a lot of busy real life stuff going on - thank you all.

Hope everyone else is writing well.
