Maybe you've heard, I'm starting a new website dedicated to book sale cross-promos.

The tag is Love and Hate, and the genres are anything Romance and anything Crime or Crime-Noir. (Books do not have to feature both genre types, or they may. It's a spectrum thing.) The dates for the promo are February 22 to Feb 24 of 2019.

I'm still building the site, but the signup form is now open.

What's a noir story without a femme fatale? What's a romance novel without a bad boy? Crime and romance go together like Bonnie and Clyde. And what better month to feature tales of twisted love than February? Happy Valentine's Day.

To join this promo, your book must be a novel, a novella, a collection of flash fiction or short stories at least three stories in length, or an anthology for which you are listed as curator or editor; and must be 99¢ February 22 - 24 of 2019. It may also be a box set for which you are listed as author or author team, editor, or curator; and may cost up to $1.99 on the dates of the promo. By submitting a title, you agree to use your social media accounts and email list to promote the program. The book must be available on Amazon.com, but can also be available on other eBook platforms. This form closes at midnight February 11th, 2019 US Eastern time.

The form can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdlxxvuVZI2o1rABdMNH3wWwsqCE7yS35n1u2ct8ryrUMCimQ/viewform?usp=sf_link

Okay, I'm in.

Will you be sending out notifications to the list from the last promo with dates and links?  I don't have any books that qualify for this promo, probably, but I'll try to remember to tweet it out when the time comes, but I'll need the reminder.

Yes.  Actually I'm starting a new list for writers and I'll be migrating all the addresses from the last primo to it. But first I'm sending a note to old list next week.

Got the email, thanks.

Hopefully Serial Stalker will fit for the crime one & I have Restless Spectres for the horror one (both novels).

Will add them later when I have time.

I love this, thank you.  :cheers

Entered both, thanks.

They're both wide but will only be discounting at Amazon, so I clicked 'Amazon only'.

Perfect. I should probably adjust the form to account for that possibility. ;)

Also while I'm here, I'm trying to drive traffic to the site to get signups for the first two promos. It's sort of a beta run, but really it's solid free ebook advertising just like any 99 cent promo.

So I'm looking for Facebook groups I can post about this on. Recommendations appreciated.

Also if you're established on Reddit author groups, or want to blog about it, or can think of any other way I can get the word out, please let me know.

This promo starts tonight at midnight.

If you are signed up and have not yet gotten the email, you can see it here: https://mailchi.mp/372b85d314f9/love-hate-99c-99p-final-reminder?e=[UNIQID]

There was a mistake in it where I accidentally typed April instead of February. Anyway, you get the gist.

This is the final day for this promo, and traditionally proactive pushing of the promos is slow on Sunday. Take a few minutes if you have it and schedule at least three more tweets or Facebook posts.

And if you're not in the promo, we'd appreciate a mention today. ;)

Thanks.

Tweeted again & looked at US times, it's 20.14 here but I'll tweet again a couple more times later until Sunday is over, all over lol.  :icon_lol2:

I hope you sell more.  :cheers

I reduced the price early for my Serial Stalker because of the 72 hours Amazon say it might take (they did it in 2-3 hours) & also because of the time difference (US & UK).

I sold 2 before the promo started, 1 today & 1 yesterday.

Let's hope we get more before the end.
Good luck all.

I'm extending the price for a few days for those people that don't open newsletters right away.

Thanks Dave, for everything,

I ended up with the 4 sales that were from/because of this promo (2 were before the official start because Amazon reduced the book in record time).

I hope everyone had sales.

Looking forward to the next one now.

Many thanks for the work you put into it, it's much appreciated.  :cheers
