After five years, finally Kobo sends me a payment
« on: April 18, 2020, 11:15:29 AM »
It took five years to sell enough books on the Kobo site to reach its payment floor. I don't know whether to be happy or sad.  :icon_think:

I've done a bunch of promotions with Kobo, selling only a handful of books each time. A free book was snapped up, but you know how that goes in real life as opposed to the rosy predictions of the marketing gurus.  :HB

Anyway, party time. Almost enough to pay for today's online order from Nuts.com.

Nice! I know what you mean about that threshold with Kobo - I have so few books there direct that it just takes so long per payment; think I've had 2 in four years.

Maybe that's one advantage of going there through an aggregator, as the payments from Kobo seem to arrive via Smashwords every month regardless of how small they are (having said that, Kobo is actually my second best place to sell my books, after Amazon UK, for what it's worth).

I think that it took me over a year to get my last payment. I'm now going through D2D and Smashwords.
