Another useless cold email promo

Here's what some company claiming to have 200k readers on social media has emailed to say it will do for my book:

    Daily 1 story on our Instagram page about your book with image, caption, and tags.

    Daily 10 tweets on our twitter profile about your book with image, caption, and tags.

    Daily create eye-catching graphic images of your book for Facebook & Instagram.

    Get a social media promotion report after the book promotion is over.

    Get the tweet list of your book with the promotion report for your future use.

    Get the graphic images of your book with the promotion report for future use.

The price is $30 per day.

Uh, no thanks. I've never heard that those tactics worked, ever. (I'll post the link if for some reason you are interested.)

But for many it will have a kind of desperate appeal. Like, "Damn, I can't do that kind of stuff myself, and social media exposure is the key..."

$30?? And that's like the same price as ENT. Hopefully people search through the writing blogs like this one to see legit ones.

I've been guilty of trying things out a bit here and there, but after research and never when solicited (except with one exception: Many Books. But I researched them after being contacted and am happy I've used them).
