On the Zon sales page, do the "Editorial Reviews," "From the Publisher/Author" help sales?

Not that I've noticed. And I never read them on other author's book pages.

I've had them in for years. When there aren't many customer reviews, they do give a basic social proof to the book. They can't hurt.

Do I read them? Some trad pub titles have them instead of a blurb. Back in my paperback book-reading days, I avoided books that had those instead of a first page blurb describing the story. It usually meant the story was not genre enough for me. Like any kind of review, a posted opinion is helpful in making the decision to buy or not.

I think they do, but editorial reviews are a tricky thing. The review should be legit, not all glowing, and relatively reputable. It also shouldn't give away too much.

Beware of review sites that just 5 star everybody. Readers aren't dumb and publicizing a review from one of them doesn't help your book much, imo.
