I'm trying to advertise a boxed set with an individual book sale. If you think it's unwise to mess with the product description, I could add the boxed set under "series" as another way to advertise the boxed set new release. I plan to price the boxed set at a slightly reduced price as the whole package of individual books.

No, you can't mention a sale price on the product description.

Don't advertise another book on any book either.

Yes, add it to the series.

But if the series is long, then it won't be seen unless they press to slide.

What you can do is put a series list on the bottom of each product description, which can include the box set. I put all 8 of my series on every book. And use the A+ content to put a cover poster of the whole universe.

You have to do these things within the rules. But the rules are not to bad to work within these days, since the series became author controlled, and they added A+.

I thought so. I recall a couple years ago reading about how other authors were getting away with doing this. But it's most definitely not worth the price of being banned.

My series is only two books so adding it as a series for now might be worth it. I can alter it after the sale. It seems a little weird to put a boxed set as a "series book" but to advertise its release, it's worth it. I'll definitely consider the A+ content, but that'll be fairly far down on the product page.

Yeah, I don't know how many people actually go that far down the page, but after reading Timothy's post, I looked at one of his pages, and he did make really good use of the space.

What I heard early on suggested to me that A+ wasn't quite ready for prime time--like content being rejected without a clear reason, and difficult-to-work-with image sizes. But it's clearly pretty usable now. I'm going to have to take a closer look at it. Like Timothy, I have more than one series set in the same universe.

No, you can't announce a sale. I don't think it's likely you'll get banned for it, but you will get a quality notice.

It doesn't hurt to add something and use the given real estate. I haven't had many things rejected. I try to advertise other books in my collection.

What's interesting to me is that A+ started with just the templates. Now there's a "standard" where many authors are creating 3 banners together based on one of their covers. That seems to be the trend.

No. You can't announce sales, discounts, etc. You can't have any "selling" in your description besides your blurb for your book.
