Hello Books is partnering with Written Word Media
« on: June 08, 2023, 12:39:43 AM »
Got the news today. Not sure if this is good or bad? I like some promo companies being completely separate from the now biggest ones: BookBub & Written Word. But the best part of the news is that you can select a date with Hello Books. You couldn't before. For free books, Hello Books typically "sells" about 750 to 1000 free ebooks for me. That's really good for their price. I've never tried a 99c run. I might just to see how effective they are.

Many of Hello Books' romance titles have what look like self-made covers.

I did a Hello Books when the service started and the results were meh. Maybe I did it before they'd gained a large enough audience.

TBH, I can't keep straight in my mind what Written Word Media does--too many fingers in too many pies. Them and Story Origin.

I saw Craig Martelle announce it in the 20booksto50k FB group. I didn't know he was a part owner. Anyway, never used this promo site (just know it's from Mark Dawson) but I heard people say it's great for freebie so I might try it soon. I am a gold member for Written Word Media so I get a discount on every promo I book. It's been well worth the membership and I save a lot of money when I use those sites now. WWM has partnered with a lot of sites lately including Fussy Librarian. They also have this neat new tool where you can book promos easily in just a few steps. I'm anxious to see what the next partner will be.

On the other hand, I stopped using Bookbub since you mentioned it. Haven't used it in probably close to 2 years. It's too much money and not nearly as effective as it used to be IMO.
