Author Topic: Am I distributing my audiobooks wrong? Direct Audible AND Findaway  (Read 146 times)

I've been thinking... have I been distributing my audiobooks all wrong? I had thought I did enough research but recently it dawned on me that Findaway now allows wide distribution through their Voices program (before they were exclusive to their program only). Doesn't that mean that I could pull my Amazon books from Findaway and resell them direct via ACX? That would get me a larger royalty and provide me with giveaway codes for ACX reviews. Am I missing something here? Have any of you done this?

It's like my ebooks. I could have D2D distribute everything but I find advantages to distributing to Amazon, Kobo and B&N direct. Can I do the same with my audiobooks? Are there any delays or disruptions that can happen from transfer via audio?

Two things occur to me. Can you pull your books from Findaway? How does the 7-year agreement/deal work once it's in place? And I *think* (check it out) you have to be exclusive, not just direct, with Audible to be given those giveaway codes.  A few years back they really tightened up on how they work.

Thanks for that. I couldn't recall why I didn't think to do it in the past. It must only be through the exclusivity that you get all the perks (better royalty, giveaway codes).
