Excellent article calling it like it is, and well worth a read. Note: You may encounter a paywall.

That's a bit dramatic, and there's nothing new there at all.

Those changes were highlighted a while ago now.

The flood of drek is real. But the changes to search engines will need to run the gauntlet of consumer usage.

Those who want the sites, not the summary, will stay with whoever remains in the same model as now. If enough do, the new way might not work as well as they might expect.

Time will tell. I've seen no difference so far. And the only real place I'm seeing drek is Quora.
Genres: Space Opera/Fantasy/Cyberpunk, with elements of LitRPG and GameLit, with a touch of the Supernatural. Also Spiritual and Games.

But always— do not forget this, Winston— always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot Reddit moderator stamping on a human face--forever."
