Title: Amusing Story
Post by: Post-Doctorate D on September 20, 2018, 11:50:39 AM
Non-book related stuff here, right?

Okay.

I just opened a gallon of adhesive remover.

Once I unscrewed the cap, there was a safety seal.  "Sealed for your protection" it said.  (Not out loud, obviously.)

You know what holds those safety seals on?

Adhesive.

What's in the bottle?

Adhesive remover.

How secure do you think that safety seal was?

My boy bought himself a 3D printer, and used it to print upgrades for his 3D printer...

When it starts printing its own upgrades on its own is when you need to worry.

Why did you buy adhesive remover? Hand sanitizer removes most adhesives and doesn't stink while doing it.

We do vinyl lettering and frequently have to remove the old lettering and adhesive before putting new lettering on.  This stuff gets a wide variety of adhesives off by essentially dissolving them.  Have to be careful with some materials but it's fine for use on most materials.  Has a citrus-like smell.

We even went to Ace Hardware to see what aluminum they had so he could build a new frame.
