It turns out that my WiP, The Boy Who Loved The Moon, is a coming of age story for my heroine and PoV character, Ana. Trouble is, I don't tend to read coming of age stories, so I'm not sure how to write this (Her coming of age is her learning to deal with a stalker, and stand up for herself).
Can anyone suggest a good coming of age book that I can read? or a craft book that talks about how to write this kind of story?
For whatever it's worth, the book is a fantasy.

Here's a good list of coming-of-age stories: https://www.bookbub.com/blog/2017/02/06/classic-coming-of-age-books they will be your best teachers. Mine is also one :)
Learning to stand up for oneself is often one of the themes of these books, coming to a new understanding of your place in the world. Happy reading and writing.
