Title: If you change your cover/blurb on a permafree, will KDP reset the price?

I have new covers in the works for one of my trilogies.  The first book is permafree, I'm guessing when I go through the motions to change the cover, the price will reset and I'll have to email Amazon and ask them to price match again?  You can't set the price to zero.
If I have to do that I will, I just want to know so I can plan around promotions.

Mine was permafree for seven years, and I changed the cover, the blurb, the interior and even the retail price many times.  It still remained perma-free.

Your experience might be different, of course. Just offering a data point.
