Title: How long before sales/page reads show up for new book?

Hey folks, hope I'm posting this in the right place -- asking for a client who is wondering, and I don't have the answer! Once a new book is published to Amazon, is there a delay before sales and page reads start to show? More so than the usual delay in reporting, that is. Thanks for any insight!

There's just the usual reporting delay. I've sometimes had sales show up for a new book before I got the "Your book is available in the Kindle store" e-mail, though that's rare.

Besides, Amazon has been buggy and slow of late, which will affect reporting and even sales.

Yeah, what Cora said.  There's usually a delay of some kind, but the length varies.  Nothing to be done about it.   :shrug
