The Sacred & the Profane is this...
This promotion is for anything touching on religion or religious artifacts or religious beliefs or religious mysticism. Story can take place in the future, present or past. YA and Adult are acceptable. Genres are pretty much anything ranging from Sci-fi to military to family to dystopian to westerns to goth to... well, you get the idea. The central theme of the promotion is religion or religious faith. It can be new wave, old hat, or anything in between. The characters do not have to be religious as long as values are espoused or touched on or the characters are affected by something religious based.
The Earthbound Sci-fi is this...
This is for earthly Sci-fi only. Stories such as Jurassic Park, Predator, all take place on Earth. Adult and YA Sci-fi, Hard sci-fi, Military Sci-fi, Dystopian Sci-fi, Action and Adventure Sci-fi are all okay when they take place on earth.
