A free run is planned on the first in series.
If the second in series is discounted, can I mention this in the blurb of the freebie title - ie, get book 2 for only £xxx?
Both titles are in KU.
Also, is it permissible to add a line about book 2 being discounted in the front matter of freebie book 1? Is it allowed to link to that title?
The discounted price on book 2 would be a manual adjustment, ie not part of Kindle Countdown, simply because Kindle Countdown won't operate across all the Amazon sites & I want it to be world wide.

Don't forget people who buy now will still see the same offer and link 1, 5, 10 years from now.
(I published an ebook in 2011, and Amazon refuses to force an update through. They will only make it voluntary.)
I know the Amazon T&C forbid 'time sensitive info' in the product description, not sure whether this applies to the product as well.

Cheers, Simon!
I envisaged deleting the promo offer from the blurb etc once the promo finished. However, from your post, it seems that updates/revisions don't always go through smoothly & that's something I hadn't considered.
Actually, thinking about it, I'll just put the second on discount & trust readers to at least take a look at the second title & it'll be a nice surprise for anyone planning to read on :)
