Wow, I knew it was bad . . . but not this bad.

Many major newspapers will let you read 2 to 3 articles for free before blocking you from any further articles. I know the Boston Globe does this, and I believe the NYT must also--given I don't have a subscription to them. They probably track how many you've read by cookies they've placed on your system.

I think it's 4 or 5 for the NYT

You have to allow cookies to view without a subscription.
