I was following a link to Fiverr that was supplied by a poster here when I noticed that someone else on Fiverr was offering to market books on Pinterest.
He said that his 'Pin' as it's called on Pinterest, is a high traffic Pin that receives several thousand visitors a day.
The fee is the usual five dollars.
I think, can't be sure, that it's claimed that Pinterest is under-rated as a marketing tool, that it's more effective than might appear.
I'm not really familiar with Pinterest, I have a Pin on it but have no idea what it achieves, if anything.
It just consists of a couple of my books and my website logo.
The link that I followed from here was to someone who is said to be a legendary figure in book marketing, I won't mention his name.
Any thoughts and or experiences with Pinterest?

I've often wondered about this but haven't had time to explore the idea. I have several boards on Pinterest for various topics, some of which are to do with novels of mine, but I've used them more as places to store research links and images as I go along than to actually draw attention to the published novels. There is definitely quite a lot of activity there - I get emails almost every day to say people have re-pinned things - but I have never been convinced it would help to sell books.

I wasn't impressed with Pinterest as a marketing tool, but it's been a long time since I've used it.

Thank you for reminding me to update my pins with the new covers!
I mainly use it for author promos with a group that writes women's fiction. I don't know if I sell any books from having the boards, but they're pretty.
