Title: Two questions about AMS ads.
Post by: Gerri Attrick on September 05, 2019, 02:13:04 AM
Please can anyone tell me if AMS continues to charge for ads that have been paused?

Also where can I find the date that I paused it? I’ve found the start date, but not the other.

Thank you.

Depends on the ad type. If it's a lockscreen ad I believe that you will continue to get charged for clicks as people sync their Kindles. That used to happen with Product Display ads. Sponsored Product I'd be surprised if you were charged for additional clicks after an hour or two at most after the ad was paused. There might be some syncing delay there across Amazon servers, but not a significant one.

And as far as I know there's no way to see when an ad was paused vs. active. And having copied some ads recently I wouldn't even trust the start date for an ad unless you know you created that ad from scratch.
