I have tweaked my poor Noble Traitor blurb to death and have absolutely no doubt that no one here wants to hear any more about it. Neither do I. In fact, I'm sick of thinking about it, but I am still not sure it is perfect.
What we need is not a 'blurb writing services' which exist, but a Blurb Doctor service who will look at our poor ailing blurbs and tell us how to fix their broken legs, where we have given them the wrong vitamins, and the wrong food for our genre. 🤔

Well, what I need is a time machine to go back and undo some stupid, stupid mistakes.
But I guess you're looking for the wrong kind of Doctor for that.
As far as blurb doctoring goes, there is an ad for such a service:

Maybe there are more too?

Read again. I said there are blurb writing services. We don't need that. We need a Doctor (no, not THAT doctor) to fix the ones we've written and broken somehow.
-
My cover artist offers a service she calls "Blurb Torture".
I haven't used it, but I can PM you her info if you want.
If you have the time put it aside for a couple of weeks and come back to it fresh.

I've tweaked it so many times, I don't even know if it's broken or not. I thought what I had was blurb torture if that means being tortured BY a blurb. But sure PM the info and I can take a look. Thanks.
I find it kind of like that bruise you can't stop poking to see if it's still sore. Or is that just me? :icon_think:

That's what the ad I linked to offers. Doctoring your blurb for $30.

Ah my misunderstanding. Thanks.

on facebook there is a group that deals solely with covers and blurbs. there is lots of noise in the critiques but they usually give good specific help to fix blurbs. it's called indie cover project. they can be blunt so be prepared for that, but I find them to be incredibly helpful. I am always reading others blurbs getting ready to write my own.

I don't use Facebook but the information may help someone else.
