I just got an email from Appsumo with a $20 credit (nice!) and when I went to redeem it I discovered they have a Depositphotos deal going.
You get 100 stock pics of your choice for $49, with no expiry.

You can also stack as many packs as you like.
Seriously good value if you do your own covers.

I've gotten that deal a few times and I still have 319 credits left.
But it is a great deal and I'm tempted, but I doubt I'll write 319 more books. Maybe I only need to write 100 more books if I use three images on each cover. Hmm, how old am I now?

I got the same email and used the coupon even though I now I have 254 photos on DepositPhotos. I use them for covers I don't design. Sometimes they're great and other times the selection feels pretty stale.
I also use them for ads. Sigh. I couldn't resist the deal, and who knows? Maybe I'll use more photos in the coming months. Then again, maybe the sun will rise in the west.

Somebody I know bought 10k ISBNs. Somebody else I know bought 1k ISBNs. I buy them 10 at a time, even though I'll probably end up using 100 before I quit this "little hobby" of mine. The thing is, the person who bought 100 has cancer. I don't know if all those ISBNs will get used, or if an ISBN can be inherited. We all already know they can't be traded around like Magic cards.

I bought 100 ISBNs in 2001, and still have 60 left. I used to use 3 for each book (PB, Mobi and Epub), whereas now I just use one for the PB.
As for DepositPhotos, most of my covers use 10 or more images - or bits of them, at least. Even the book titles have 2 or 3 image backgrounds layered in.

I can see the results in your covers. You're really, really good.
