I just seriously suck at that sort of thing. The person who has done maps for me before has stopped working and I don't see anyone in the graphics services list who says they do maps. Odd, because it's something that some fantasy writers need. In my case it would be a map of Scotland with places marked that you don't find on a typical map, castles, etc. with a few cities. I could probably find someone at the Cartographer's Guild but thought I'd check here first. Thanks for any suggestions.

Custom illustrated maps are frightfully expensive if you got in under 500 your are doing amazing.

I didn't want illustrated which lowers the price slightly. I like a somewhat academic or realistic look rather than a fantasy look, which is to say black and white and mainly text. It's convenient that that saves me some money too bringing it a bit under five hundred. Even so, it still isn't cheap.
