A true legend. May his soul rest in peace. Such a sad day:(

A brilliant lyricist, songwriter and drummer. One of the first rock songwriters I discovered who actually wrote science fiction and fantasy into his music. Passed far too young.

A phenomenal drummer. Very sad, but his music lives on.

I can't even describe it but he played the drums like it was a violin. In his hands it was truly an instrument, not just rhythm.

You guys want a funny story?  One of my best friends, when he and his best friend heard Working Man for the first time (on the radio) after it played the DJ said "Lord God," then went onto the next song. They hopped on their bikes and went down to the record store to buy the new Lord God record.  They were flipping through the L's in the stacks. We told the kids it was Lord God when they were still interested enough to ask who it was when we heard it on the radio.

I was never into the whole "progressive rock" thing, but I still appreciate the man's talent.  RIP, Mr. Peart.

And since no one else has posted any vids yet--y'all are really slackin' here--I guess I will.  ;)
