This has nothing to do with writing, but rather, my career as a Navy officer. There's absolutely nothing in the world like the bridge after a long night breaks into dawn and standing on the bridge wing, earbuds in, and blasting out this (or one of the later remixes linked below). Salt spray, water whipped in foam, pitching of the ship, thrum of engines cranking, helos at the moment the blades start turning....nothing at all. As much as I longed to come home after being at sea, I miss that the most! To be a career sailor is to experience uniquely wonderful sensations.
Two of my favorite remixes:

You may have loved the view from the bridge wing, but for me, it was fishing off the fantail in the Med, and eating marlin in the enlisted mess. Our CMC was a scrappy Filipino with over 20 years enlisted as a Boatswain. Every time we got a new ChEng or MPA, they had to learn that they didn't outrank the CMC.

--snip--
my favorite Tim Minchin song is still "Prejudice."

And
They just never get old for me 😁

Since this thread is taking a turn of the AC/DC kind, I guess I'd better post the Mother Of All AC/DC Videos before someone else beats me to it. :band:

I can't decide.
Or, possibly:

Can I just say the men in your theme songs scare me?
I need a theme song. I have a playlist for writing but not a theme song. It seems too stressful to pick one song that defines me.

How about one that just defines a little part of you for just right now?

First thank you! grint
Second I think those questions might be even deeper than the theme song.
Lately I find it's small things that give me joy.
A silly afternoon with my sister
Playing in the rain
My garden
Cuddling my little man (he's furry and four legged)
Zoning out when I'm writing
Addictively reading this forum

Actually, I had it narrowed down between that one and "What a Wonderful World." I thought the latter fit your answers better. But it's your choice.
As a side note, earlier this year, the end of a rainbow was in my backyard. I mean, I know a rainbow isn't supposed to have an end (it's a circle), but it looked just like it was ending in the far corner of the backyard. No gold there though. I checked.

Well done, Dan.

Was it a double rainbow? I like double rainbows.

I don't remember on that one. I do see a fair number of double rainbows. I have a photo of one I took in the 80s. Shows up good on film but doesn't scan well.

Great minds and all that grint
That's wild are you sure you weren't looking for the little green man that goes with the gold? :banana-riding-llama-smiley-em

I checked my photos. It was a double rainbow. Unfortunately, the rainbow doesn't show up well in the photos. It was a magical day though. Seeing the apparent end of a rainbow was kind of surreal.

Not a theme song, exactly, but the latest thing to really strike me.

Mine is sometimes the Mission: Impossible theme song.

At the moment, my personal song is this one... the lyrics move me. :hehe

Mine's by Rush: One Little Victory

I even use the chorus of this song as my ringtone. :grouphug:

I have a theme song for one of my episodes. I also take care to mention good songs for my readers. Eg: Ringtone, what song is played in the cafe, what MC is listening in her room, what the characters are grooving to at the party.
Some songs in my playlist thus act as mojos for my future writing sessions. :band: :lalala
