I was recently accepted for an ad on My Romance Reads (https://www.myromancereads.com), but I choked on the price. $175 seems pretty steep, and I can't quite figure out if it's worth it for my permafree book. Does anyone have any recent data on them?

It's $80-90 right? That's what I just looked up. They claim around 100 sales or borrows which is pretty good. But, personally, I prefer really high marks if I'm gonna experiment with a promo site close to $100. I haven't tried them.
I was considering gambling on a much cheaper promo site, crave romance, if anybody has any luck with them. They're like $7.
I'm experimenting with mid priced promos that have good recs through the internet. I'm booked for an upcoming promo with excite steam, hidden gems, pretty-hot books, and full hearts romance. I can only vouch for hidden gems, as I tried them before. The other three seem to be well received.
Of course, Red Roses Romance comes highly recommended if you have 10 reviews. I haven't used them, either, but I always have good luck with their sister promo site, Book Barbarian.

For permafree, the lowest price is $150 (https://www.myromancereads.com/advertise/). Unfortunately, my book is Paranormal Romance, so that's $175.

That is a lot :icon_eek:
Kboards had some good things to say about it for a free run in a 2016 post. But promo companies can change so much. Wish I could be of more help to you in your decision.

Yeah, I found that thread, too, but not much use now.

An update. Today is the day for my promotion and I am only going to get about 1/3 of what I get on a Freebooksy ad, but for nearly twice the cost.
Assessment: NOT WORTH IT!
