Title: D2D promotions
Post by: Marti Talbott on September 05, 2020, 12:49:18 AM
Does anyone know? If I run a promotion on D2D will Amazon price match the lower price?

Probably. I always lower my Amazon price before the promo to not piss them off. It's in the T&C you can't lower the price elsewhere they have to have the lowest price.

For Kobo I stick to the 40% off sales or other promos that can't be price matched and my box sets are exclusive to Kobo so I can do promotions without the hassle.

Yep. I ran a free on iTunes via D2D in April, and the Zon matched it a few days later without my intervention. I did have to contact them to bring the price back up to full once the promo was over.

I didn't know that about Kobo. I'll give it a try.

It says right in the specific promo if you "don't have to worry about price matching".

Great, I looked for that and didn't see it. I'll look again. Thanks!

I still can't find it. I guess I'll just try it and find out. Seattle Quake is selling well on Amazon but not anywhere else. It needs a push.
