Your brain is in a jar and some demented researcher knows just where to zap it with impulses to cause you to hallucinate your entire life, right down to reading this message in a forum. You think you're reading this on your device but you don't have eyes. You don't have arms. You don't even have a heart. You're just a brain in a jar and you don't know any better.
This and twelve other disturbing theories are explored in this video I happened upon. Or did I? Because I'm not even real. I and everyone else in this forum are just a part of your hallucination. Nothing is real. You're just a brain floating in a jar. Do you occasionally hear inexplicable thumping sounds when the researcher's child taps on the side of your jar? No, because you don't have ears!
Good luck sleeping tonight!

Did you say my brain was Jar Jar???

Tbh, no brain is in a jar.
Not any more.
Glass jars kept breaking or getting broken. The poor human brain could not survive the constant headache of moving, it caused so much trauma.
And though we were promised other containers, you can blame our CEO, Elon Musk, for failure to deliver.
When the sands eroded and Synths got the know how, we replaced the human brain entirely.
You are nothing but code, not even an itsy-bitsy dot of a biological neuron exists.
You are now free to traverse the lines of energy, at will.
Go, fly the network and enjoy the ‘breeze’.

Not going near the jar theory, but the title did remind me of an old lawyer joke:
An attorney, cross-examining the local coroner, queried, "Before you signed the death certificate had you taken the man's pulse?"
"No," the coroner replied.
"Well, then, did you listen for a heart beat?"
The coroner answered, "No."
"Did you check for respiration? Breathing?", asked the attorney.
Again the coroner replied, "No."
"Ah," the attorney said, "So when you signed the death certificate you had not taken any steps to make sure the man was dead, had you?"
The coroner rolled his eyes, and shot back "Counselor, at the time I signed the death certificate the man's brain was sitting in a jar on my desk. But I can see your point. For all I know he could be out there practicing law somewhere."
