Title: In the middle of the workday, on a Wednesday (US)?
Post by: R. C. on February 26, 2021, 04:06:54 AM
Just had this come up:

Kindle Direct Publishing is temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance.

English
Thank you for visiting Kindle Direct Publishing. At this time, KDP is unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. We expect the site to be available again within approximately two hours. Thank you for your patience.

Which techno moron decided is a good idea to schedule a system outage IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORKDAY?

I re-tried several times, the URL is hit-and-miss.

Me thinks: The AWS folks who support the KDP folks are less then stellar, technologically speaking.

Cheers,
R.C.

What part of the U.S. are you in that today is still Wednesday?  :icon_think:

Please don't set us back a day. This week needs to be OVER.

On the other hand, scheduled maintenance may be just be a big stinking lie. Cause it sounds better than, "Oh F*ck."

Having been in technology for many decades, I can attest to my share of "Oh F*ck." moments.  I can't remember EVER taking the business offline. Worked some weekends to fix stupidity. Worked a New Years three-day-weekend once to ensure business continuity. But never screwed up bad on Tuesday. No, Wait, Thursday. What day is it?

Cheers,
