Hey everyone, I'm an editor and one of my authors is asking for recommendations for formatters. Suggestions here, or if anyone wants to pm me about their own services, feel free. All formats, book is only 27K words but the author has other ongoing projects.
Thanks.

Is this for paperback?
If yes, then Draft2Digital has a free converter. Upload the docx, select options, download the pdf. Really easy.

All formats, ebook softcover, even hard cover.

Tamara did my soft and hardcover paper books, also large print. They were stunning. I never used her ebook services, but she does that.

Formatters:
U.S-based: https://formatting4u.com/ Judi Fennell's been doing this for many years.
Foreign-based: http://bbebooksthailand.com/ Paul Salvette is very organized and prompt.
Pretty sure both of these can handle any format.

I'm nontechie w/no design sense so I rely on Joel Friedlander's formatting templates at https://www.bookdesigntemplates.com/ Follow easy instructions to DIY at smaller cost than hiring a formatter. Fill in one template and you're done for ebook, paperback and hardback output. Buy a multiple book license and it becomes cheaper w/ea new book you publish. Frequent template sales, like right now. Do I hear your :littleclap of thanks?

Thanks everyone, I'll pass these on. Those templates look interesting ... half wondering if it's a skill I should add to my CV.
Cheers!

It's been a decade since I last used this place but I was happy with them when I did: https://www.streetlightgraphics.com/

why pay for a formatter?
vellum or atticus do all the work for you.
