What the heck? My cover has a bunch of lines and says proof. :icon_eek: Is this temporary or just a crazy glitch on Ingram's part? The book was approved for sale. I doubt many are going to buy it with a bunch of lines going through it and with it saying pre-proof. I'm hoping this is a glitch but I've ... don' know. :HB

Has this happened to any of you before? I've contacted their customer service.

As the pre proof copy shows the spine text, I would guess the front cover is the wrong width size. I suggest you check the width of your cover pdf file.

Hmm... but the proof I reviewed was fine. Weird.
And why would Ingram submit a "pre-proof" copy with lines through it even if width size is wrong? Presumably, if they detected the width was off, they should have alerted me or shown me in their proof copy before it was approved.
As submission is free now, I resubmitted the cover. I still await their response.

For anyone who has this problem in the future: Finally received a reply. They claim all metadata and info of the book is sent before the final book cover and pricing is submitted. They then "resubmitted" the book across all channels. So, I'm not sure if B&N put the cover up too early or if it was submitted in error. But it was fixed after their resubmission.
