The Sandpit is now a private area.

The Darkling Prison area has been renamed as The Asteroid Field, and you need your spacesuit on to enter it. Those who were prison guards now automatically have a spacesuit on.

A new area has been made called The Black Lagoon, which is for the discussion of anything to do with 'facts', black hat and scammer doings. Threads from the former News area, have now been put in here.

Argumentative threads will be cast into the asteroid field. Going there will not involve seeing posts about scammer activity.

Thanks for continuing to work out the bugs to make this forum a good resource for conscientious writers.

I thought I'd have a look at these areas but I can't work out how to opt in  :icon_think:
Could you give a dummies guide to finding them, opting in and if ness, opting out again, thanks.

I'm sure Timothy will explain this better but here's my quick summary:

1. Click on your Profile.

2. In the dropdown menu labeled Modify Profile, you'll see Group Membership. Click on that.

3. Choose to join whichever groups you wish to belong to in the Available Groups section.

4. After you've joined what you want, in the Current Memberships section, click on Registered Members as your default.

I don't see The Black Lagoon listed as an available group to join. Any idea why that would be?

Look for "I Have My Waders ON" under groups.

Also, make sure "Registered Members" is set as your Primary group.

Also an area for discussing reviews.

The forum description for Sandpit needs to be updated.

Right now it says
Sandpit [Private]
Public area for more contentious or argumentative threads deemed safe for public reading.
